我直到林奇死了才看穆赫兰道。开场前我读了齐泽克刚写的一篇大卫林奇伦理学,他说林奇要表达一种“倒反天罡”的揭穿:ethics is the most dark and daring of all conspiracies and it is the ethical subject who effectively threatens existing orders. 看完我认为完全不是。我认为林奇电影的一大核心行为是脱罪。最物理层面的免于刑罚就是《妖夜慌踪》里主角入了狱都可以身外化身走掉。走掉之后他也依然纵欲;依然在夜路上被撕扯回自己。《蓝丝绒》则类似一种辩解:前半段Jeffrey对Betty说世界上为什么会有Frank这样的坏人?后半段Frank对他说你其实也就像我;in dreams you walk with me. 把个体责任推卸入普遍的邪恶。但是《穆赫兰道》面对更深的问题——不是关于如何逃脱penalty/conviction还关于如何逃脱guilt.
